Quand j’ai commencé mon travail en gravure, il y a 15 ans, des amis me disait « tu dois beaucoup aimer Giacometti »… à cette époque je connaissais très peu de son œuvre, quelques photos de ses sculptures… après j’ai eu la chance de voir ses ouvres à la Fondation Beyeler (http://www.fondationbeyeler.ch/fr/collection/alberto-giacometti) et à la fondation Maeght (http://www.fondation-maeght.com/) , ainsi que l’exposition L’Atelier d’AlbertoGiacometti au centre G. Pompidou (http://www.centrepompidou.fr/education/ressources/ENS-giacometti/ENS-giacometti.html )... et j’ai découvert ainsi ses dessins, gravures, peintures et ses sculptures…
Depuis lors je suis très touche par son approche au travail, sa manière de « voir » ; l’acharnement de représenter « ce qu’il voie » en sachant que « réussite sera toujours- grand maximum- pareil à l’échec » ; sa conception des liens entre le dessin, la peinture et la sculpture –c’est la même chose-; et le travail avec ses proches, famille et amis… Tout cela et plus me donnent des balises pour mon travail, comme celui sur mon Papa réalisé l’année passée ; pour cette année seront mes Enfants.
When I started my work in engraving, 15 years ago, friends told me "you must love very much Giacometti" ... at that time I knew very few of his work, some pictures of sculptures…
After I had the chance to see his works at the Fondation Beyeler (http://www.fondationbeyeler.ch/fr/collection/alberto-giacometti); and at the fondation Maeght (http://www.fondation-maeght.com/), also the exhibition L’Atelier d’Alberto Giacometti au Centre G. Pompidou (http://www.centrepompidou.fr/education/ressources/ENS-giacometti/ENS-giacometti.html )… and discover his drawings, engravings, paintings and sculptures…
Since then I am very touched by his work approach, his way of "seeing"; the relentlessness to represent "what he see" knowing that "success will always be –as far-equal to the failure"; his conception linking drawing, painting and sculpture -all that is the same thing-, and the work with his friends ans family... All this and more give me marks to my work, like that one about my Father realized the last year; this year will be my Childs.
