For the first time in Europe Marcio Ambrosio presents his playful participatory
installation 12i. Inspired by the principle of the zoetrope - a 19th-century
device forerunner of cinema - Marcio again combines classic animation techniques
with new technologies. He brings us into a magical universe where the
participants are invited to record, watch and share their own animations on a
cinematic sculpture that mixes sound and images.

Marcio Ambrosio présente pour la première fois en Europe son installation
interactive et participative 12i. Inspiré du principe du zootrope, un dispositif
précurseur du cinéma, Marcio combine à nouveau techniques d'animation et
nouvelles technologies. Ainsi, il nous emmène dans un univers magique où les
spectateurs sont invités à enregistrer, regarder et partager leurs propres
animations sur une sculpture mixant son et images.
[NL] Voor de eerste maal in Europa stelt Marcio Ambrosio zijn speelse, interactieve installatie 12i voor. Marcio liet zich inspireren door het principe van de zoötroop – een voorloper van de cinema uit de 19de eeuw – en combineert de klassieke animatietechnieken met nieuwe technologieën. De kunstenaar leidt de deelnemers naar een magisch universum waarin ze uitgenodigd worden om hun eigen animaties op te nemen, te bekijken en te delen in een sculpturale installatie met beeld en geluid.
